Los Angeles, Sept. 8 - Jan-Al cases has designed is now offering aluminum side panels for the popular Yamaha DM2000 digital console. We call it the DM2000 tour panels because the panels support the fragile meter bridge and allows the console to ride on it's back when being wheeled around on tour. The wood side panels that Yamaha offers are beautiful, but are really intended for in house use.

Jan-Al Cases 20 Years In The Latin Music Market

In the mid-seventies, Jan Alejandro made his first guitar tracing for a new road
case. When the case was finished the guitar's owner was satisfied. Lucky for
Alejandro since the owner of the new case was Carlos Santana. Two decades
later Jan and Muffie Alejandro's company Jan-Al Cases is still making cases
for Santana.

"We are very fortunate that the Latin groups continue to call on us year after
year," says Muffie Alejandro, President of Jan-Al Cases. " We've
been located in East L.A. for many years and it's not unusual for a 'grupo'
or 'banda' tour bus to pull up and visit our factory. "It's a more personal
way of doing business. We always have bilingual people on staff and Spanish
brochures. We spend time with our Latin clients and we've been known to go
to motels on a Sunday to measure a rare guitarrón or accordion. Latin
music is finally achieving its place in popular culture; North America is
just discovering how varied Latin music really is."

Alejandro continues, "Our customers reflect this diversity from Grupo
Exterminador, Los Tigres del Norte and Los Yonics to Julio Iglesias, Maná,
Banda Machos, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Luis Miguel. At this year's winter
NAMM, Jan-Al Cases co-sponsored a party with digidesign at the House Of Blues,
Anaheim. Jan-Al introduced Ozomatli whose traditional dance music is combined
with rap and funk and they got everyone dancing and brought the house down."

Jan-Al is hoping that with recent contracts to make Yamaha's PM-1D console cases
and QSC Audio's ACE speaker covers, the Jan-Al name will reach more groups
and sound companies in Latin America.

Jan-Al Cases is a leading designer and manufacturer of ATA cases and reusable packaging
solutions for the professional audio and video markets as well as touring
groups such as U2, Madonna, Babyface, Mary J. Blige, The Los Angeles Philharmonic,
Yamaha Pro Audio, digidesign, Extron and many more.

Jan-Al Cases Is Contracted by Yamaha Pro Audio Division to Re-engineer and Manufacture New Line of PM-1D Digital Mixer Road Cases

East Los Angeles, Jan 14 - Jan-Al cases has announced that they have just shipped the new and improved nose-cone road case for the Yamaha PM-1D console. "We've taken the best design elements for professional console cases and put them all together in one case," says Jan Alejandro. "Dan Craik of Yamaha along with his staff, had been road testing the first Jan-Al prototype PM-1D case in 2001. After some tweaking, we finally came up with just the right case."

Alejandro adds, "We have to give credit where it's due. Companies like A-1 Audio, Clair Bros., Sound Image, Schubert Sound, Audio West, Pro Mix and so many more, have really made us stretch over the years. They asked us to pull off the front so it doesn't dig into their arms, build dog houses to accommodate the snake; add hinged doors on top and rear for easy access; carve out the ends for cables; and use slam latches and a laminated multi-ply birch for a clean look."

The PM-1D Console Case is equipped with a removable foam lined nose-cone front, foam lined lift off lid and sturdy bottom which includes custom contoured Ethafoam and rubber shock mounts which are mounted to a multi access dog house. The doghouse is a Euro-American design which includes hinged split top and 2 hinged back access panels. Rack rail is mounted to the doghouse to accommodate a multi-pin panel specially designed by Yamaha. The interior is elegantly finished for the look of studio furniture. High quality 4x2 casters with a total weight capacity of 3000 lbs. "Nothing has been spared in developing this case."

Yamaha will be offering the Jan-al PM-1D case to their customers in 2002.
